Like ozone, they destroy odors at the molecular level, but they are safe to use in occupied spaces. This makes them ideal for ongoing restoration projects where the family is still living in the home.
Thermal Fogging
Smoke from a fire expands and penetrates deep into cracks and crevices. Thermal fogging heats a specialized deodorizing chemical, turning it into a fine mist with particles the exact same size as smoke particles. The fog follows the exact path the smoke took, neutralizing the odor at its source.
Health Warning
Persistent odors are often the only warning sign of toxic mold or off-gassing bacteria. Ignoring the smell or trying to cover it up with air fresheners allows the underlying health hazard to grow unchecked.
